Meet The Team
Meet Gracyn. She is a junior at the University of Toledo, studying biology. Besides being a co-founder and trainer at Canine Scholars 101, she is also employed at the Toledo Zoo. Gracyn loves all animals having had gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, and dogs as pets growing up. She also enjoys playing tennis and reading in her free time. Gracyn looks forward to meeting you and your furry friend, and is excited to assist you in training your pets!
Meet Allie, co-founder and trainer for Canine Scholars 101. Allie is also currently employed at the Perrysburg Pet Lodge and Spa, as well as the Toledo Zoo. When not at work Allie enjoys her time doing volunteer work, hanging out with friends, and playing with her dogs. Allie invites you and your furry friend, to join her and Gracyn at Canine Scholars 101, to get your pets their doggie PHD.
Meet Ember, this bundle of energy came to us from LC4. She is a working breed dog and is not afraid to show it. She loves going out with her mom, Gracyn, as she learns to be a service dog. She is a fast learner who works well in multiple different environments. She helps her mom at Canine Scholars 101 by meeting with dogs who are reactive or just need socialization.
Meet Scrapper, he is a rescue that came to our family from LC4. When he first joined our family he was fearful of everything but with our constant work and patience he has become a very successful service dog. He loves going out and about with his mom, Allie. When he is not performing his duties as a service dog, he is helping other dogs work through their dog reactivity or socialization.
Meet Brandy, she used to belong to a local school until she started getting aggression issues. We then decided to adopt her and now she is a sweet bunny who likes going outside on walks at parks or pet stores. She is a total sweetheart who helps us get dogs, and other animals, used to small animals. A little fun fact about Brandy is she is one of the first animals Gracyn and Allie trained. She knows some tricks, to use a litter box, and even walk on a leash!
